The photo was taken against a handy background which happened to be of wood. When looking at the photo, it seems the tangle itself is of the wood instead of against the wood; the woody background was not cropped out. So … “Woody Tangle”

Letting the pencil flow in shades of grey
There was no particular pattern in mind; I had my blank coasters and plenty of sunshine coming through the window … I just started putting lines down. When I finished with lines, I started putting colors down. Then – I was done.
I found these inter-locking tangles to be an interesting puzzle to draw.
